The Area
Throughout the area of Tai Hand Rd. and Jardine’s Lookout, there is a wide variety of residential housing available from low-rise, small, medium-sized and high-rise apartment complexes. These apartment complexes are concentrated along Broadwood Road and lower Tai Hang Road. For larger units and low-rise town houses, Jardine’s Lookout offers some attractive accommodations. Many expatriates find the area to be one of the best alternatives to the Mid-Levels as it offers more greenery, space, sedate quiet neighborhoods embraced by cool mountain breezes. The area is within several minutes from the shopping centers of Causeway Bay.

Transportation
The area is well serviced by bus, minibus and taxis to the major shopping centers of Central and Causeway Bay.

Schools
The Hong Kong Japanese Primary school and the French International schools are located along Tai Hang Road and Jardine’s Lookout.

Leisure, Entertainment, Shopping
The once famous Tiger Balm Garden was found along Tai Hand Road. There are remnants of this old temple, but much of it has been developed into residential use. There are walking paths, hiking trails along Mt. Baker, leading to Parkview and the Tai Tam Reservoir. This area is otherwise primarily a residential area and has grocery stores made available for the residents, but limited in what is available for entertainment.
