INFORMATION ABOUT HO MAN TIN
It was once considered the heart of Mong Kok and used as land for cultivation. It was bounded North by Argyle Street, West by Coronation Rd. (present day Nathan Rd.) and East by the hills. During the 50’s and 60’s, the hills became a resettlement area for refugees from China and with the establishment of the Ho Man Tin Estate, the area became renamed as Ho Man Tin. The area is channeled by Princess Margaret Rd, Waterloo Rd, Argyle St, Ping Ching Rd and Fat Kwong St which are serviced by public transportation. The proposed MTR Kwun Tong Line extension will give way to the Ho Man Tin station and the Whampoa Garden Station.
